As said Dr.Pierre Fournier, a skin wrinkle is like a fracture in the skin.

Superficial wrinkles , especially if periocular, perioral should be treated by peelings..

A new mix of active components for aging prevention and improving of skin quality

INTRODUCTION

Skin quality is becoming one of the most important issues in Aesthetic Medicine. Besides requests of treating the aging process, aesthetic physicians should know how to approach a new cluster of patients (Millenials), who ask for prevention and skin quality.

Peelings are effective tools to deliver those kinds of results, but nowadays patients are not prone to bear long social downtime.

PURPOSE OF THE STUDY

To discuss the efficacy, safety and tolerability of a new synergic combination of components (basically alfa and beta hydroxiacids, aloe vera, urea, fitic acid and mandelic acid), included in a new 4-steps-peeling, which can be used by itself or in combination with EBD devices or injectables.

THE 4 PHASES

Phase 1- BOOST-pH=4 with

  •  Glycolic Acid 1%
  •  Salicylic Acid 1
  •  Lactic Acid 0.3% + Urea 4%
  •  Aloe Vera 0.1%

Phase 2- PEELING with

-mandelic acid 20%
-lactic acid 15%
-phytic acid 1%
-propanediol humectant & emollient

Phase 3- NEUTRALISATION with
-Arginine
-Bicarbonate of Sodium

Phase 4- RECOVERY with
-Heptapeptide

-Silanetriol + Hyaluronic Acid at low mlecular weight , bestens in gel.

MATERIALS AND METHODS

We treated different patients with a specific indication (melasma, aging, bad skin quality, acne) combining this new peeling with microneedling RF, Fractional EBD, injectables in different protocols.

We collected pictures during a 4-months follow-up, and set the first impressions.

RESULTS

All patients concluded the sessions and were satisfied with the protocols. The overall satisfaction about the combinations (peeling + other device treatments) of both patients and physicians was higher than previously experienced with one-single-technique protocols. Particularly, in sensitive skin and melasma, the safety and the consistency of result was higher than expected. The new peeling did not deliver any exfoliating action, which was very appreciated by patients.

CONCLUSION

This new combination of components is a very interesting tool for improving skin quality and for treating pigmentations in the face of lack of exfoliation or significant downtime.
